In the picture „liberation“ by Ben Stahn in 1945 I can see three poor children playing or hanging ob a telegraph pole, which is standing in the center. In the middle is one child in a green dress. It looks unhappy and frightened, but the face is completely visible. She also looks ill and her face is very colourless. The child on the left hand side is holding the wire with only one arm anymore and her clothes are very dark coloured. It seems if she will fall down very soon. The third child is holding a longer and maybe faster spinning wire in its hands, her face is partly visible. On the ground is only a big pile of rubble. But in the background stands a destroyed house without a roof or a front wall. So it is possible to look into the house and see the different kinds of wallpapers. If we look carefully, it is possible to see, that the house is leaning to the left.
The colours which are mostly used in the picture are blue, white and much grey, three very cold colours. Bright colours are only visible in the house (the wallpapers) because of the missing front wall. These sad and unhappy colours are very important for the picture.
The interpretation of the picture is a bit more difficult. It was made in 1945 shortly after the ending of the Second World War. I think the title “liberation” is very clear. It means liberation form fascism, from war and from violence. The way into a peaceful world where freedom and happiness are important. He shows us the horror of war and tells us that children are very important and innocent victims (now without a home, with a lost childhood and without happiness).

Wobei On the left zu bevorzugen ist

Du solltest Dich an den für Bildinterpretationen üblichen Aufbau halten:
1. Beschreibung
2. Analyse
3. Interpretation

Du mischt das alles .. würde für mich als Lehrer schonmal mindestens einen Notensprung nach unten bedeuten.

Doch, man kann schon "on the left/right hand side" sagen...
hab ich extra mal nachgeschaut, weil in München in den
S-Bahnen in den Tunnelbahnhöfen oft auch die engl.
Durchsage kommt:
"Please exit the train on the right hand side..."

das ist doch so aufgebaut ... hab jetzt alles verändert was ihr mir noch gesagt habt, danke :)

du hast schon im zweiten satz eine interpretation: "It looks unhappy and frightened"
dann nach der beschreibung des nächsten kindes: "It seems if she will fall down very soon." ist auch interpretation.. du arbeitest zwar die reihenfolge korrekt ab, aber für jedes element des bildes einzeln. das ist zwar eine natürliche sache, da es logisch erscheint, ist aber streng genommen falsch.
mach dir die mühe (falls der text überhaupt so wichtig ist) und handle das komplette bild im ganzen in der richtigen reihenfolge ab.
